Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This energetic professional will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of all hotel systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and other critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all hotel mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and related systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving hydraulics, high voltage electrical systems, low voltage controls, and industrial mechanics to minimize downtime.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and other field service tools to access hard-to-reach areas safely.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks efficiently.
  • Perform welding (including <LOCATION> welding if applicable) and mechanical repairs using precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems involving high voltage or low voltage circuits while adhering to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors or technical sales teams for specialized repairs or upgrades; provide excellent customer service to internal departments.
  • Maintain detailed schematics and technical documentation for all systems serviced or installed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to industrial electrician work, HVAC/R systems, and general maintenance procedures.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to uphold guest safety and comfort standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or similar environment with a strong mechanical background.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems combined with experience in industrial electrician work involving high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience operating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, or other field service tools safely.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and CMMS data effectively.
  • Strong welding skills including <LOCATION> welding techniques; experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams.
  • Industrial mechanic experience combined with analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to high voltage electrical work and industrial maintenance standards.
  • Military background or experience is considered an asset due to discipline and technical expertise in field service roles.
