Hotel Maintenance & Groundskeeper

We are seeking a resourceful maintenance worker to join our team. As a member of the team, you will have opportunity to repair, maintain, improve, and participate in the overall upkeep and curb appeal of our property. Guests who visit our property often comment on the condition and look of our facilities. Thus, the maintenance job is crucial in providing a positive experience and hopefully a return visit from our guests. Our ideal maintenance worker will be knowledgeable in the field. They will have a general understanding of guest room and public area maintenance. They will be capable of performing repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment. They will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. We would also expect the applicant to have an understanding of general carpentry, tiling, painting, and wall surface repairs and to be comfortable working on their own on Maintenance Director's days off. Job Duties:

· Performs general guest room and public area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

· Daily maintains the landscaping and cleanliness of the outside appearance of the property.

· Daily maintains the cleanliness and correct chemicals in our pool and spa facilities.

· Provides guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, Head of Maintenance, and Head of Housekeeping or Assistant Housekeeper.

· Performs general carpentry, tiling, painting and wall surface repairs.

· Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.

· Completes preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance.

· Experience with general maintenance tools.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward.

· Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor toward our guests and fellow employees at all times.

Pay range: $17.13 - $21 Per hour DOE
