Key responsibilities
- Repairs and maintenance:
- Fixing plumbing (leaks, clogs), electrical issues (lamps, outlets), and HVAC systems.
- Performing carpentry, painting, and general repairs on furniture, walls, and fixtures.
- Maintaining and repairing equipment like TVs, kitchen appliances, and other hotel systems.
- Inspections and preventative maintenance:
- Conducting regular inspections of the hotel's interior and exterior to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Implementing and managing preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems.
- Guest services:
- Responding promptly and efficiently to guest maintenance requests and issues.
- Assisting with the setup and cleanup of event or meeting rooms as needed.
- Safety and compliance:
- Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and standards.
- Monitoring and testing emergency systems, such as fire alarms.
- General duties:
- Maintaining an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Performing groundskeeping duties, like landscaping and clearing snow.
- Assisting with other departments or tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and skills
- Diploma in Industrial Maintenance / Electrical
- Experience in building maintenance, with strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Previous experience in similar properties
