Four Points by Sheraton Peoria is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation and upkeep of our hotel property. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our guest rooms, public spaces, building systems, and hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, responds quickly to maintenance issues, and understands the importance of maintaining a high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities
• Complete preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments
• Repair doors, locks, lighting fixtures, appliances, furniture, drywall, flooring, and other hotel assets
• Monitor boilers, HVAC systems, water systems, and other building equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records
• Assist with renovations, upgrades, and property improvement projects
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when required
• Participate in emergency response situations and after-hours maintenance needs when necessary
• Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of exterior grounds and common areas

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, commercial property maintenance, or building engineering preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs independently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

• Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience
• HVAC certification or trade certification
• Experience working with commercial building systems
• Understanding of preventive maintenance programs
• Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when needed
