Hotel Maintenance Team Member

Base Pay: $18 per hour

Role Summary:

Step into a key position where your expertise shapes the guest experience by ensuring our hotel operates flawlessly. As our Maintenance Specialist, you're the guardian of our property's condition, directly impacting the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. You'll lead the charge in maintaining a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment through meticulous upkeep and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Champion maintenance programs to ensure a defect-free guest experience, covering all mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic aspects of the hotel.
• Maintain safety and visual appeal of the hotel, including rooms, common areas, and external spaces, aligning with the highest safety standards.
• Conduct comprehensive repairs and maintenance tasks, ranging from simple fixes to complex system rehabilitations, across the hotel.
• Plan and execute routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance, in collaboration with department heads, to minimize operational disruptions.
• Manage the engineering budget, monitoring expenditures against forecasts, and implementing adjustments as needed.
• Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory, safety, and building standards, coordinating with external inspectors and undertaking necessary modifications.
• Keep mechanical, electrical, and structural blueprints current and accessible.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for HVAC certification.
• Robust knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Proficient in a variety of maintenance tasks, with strong troubleshooting skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform a wide range of physical activities.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions and with different cleaning chemicals.
• Effective communication abilities, ensuring clear interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, to support hotel operations.
