Hotel Maintenance Tech.

Areya Hospitality Management, a well-established and innovative firm focused on acquiring, developing, repositioning, renovating and operating hotels, is now seeking an Maintenance Technician to join our Candlewood Suites Chambersburg, PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, implements and directs all Emergency and Preventative Maintenance Programs; ensures all equipment is maintained, conducts inspections and drills, ensures compliance with all codes and regulations, trains all employees and maintains accurate records to ensure a safe environment which protects the assets, guests and employees including hands on Preventative Maintenance in the guestrooms.
• Develops, implements and manages an energy conservation program for the property to minimize expenses.
• Coordinates bidding for any repairs, parts or needs.
• Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participates in task forces and committees as requested.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists with renovations and works with general contractors and sub-contractors as needed.
• Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EDUCATION: More than 2 years of post-High School education but less than a 4-year degree from a four-year college.

EXPERIENCE: Four to five years of employment in a related position.

SKILLS AND ABILIITIES: Requires advanced knowledge of building materials, management and engineering. May require considerable working knowledge or other major areas in the hotel and the skills to integrate and communicate that information. Requires analyzing activities and or information involving some original data manipulation or interpretation to arrive at logical conclusions. Requires management skills. Ability to provide information and associated services to hotel management and guests.

HOURS: Variable Days and times may vary based upon need. Typically, 40 hours per week and the need to be on call.
