Maintenance Worker – Hotel Operations
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our hotel team. This role is responsible for ensuring that the property, guest rooms, and public spaces remain in top condition. The Maintenance Worker will perform routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond promptly to guest service requests to support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and fixtures.
- Handle minor carpentry, painting, and general upkeep tasks as needed.
- Complete work orders efficiently, documenting actions taken and reporting larger issues to management.
Preventative Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies are properly maintained and organized.
Guest Service Support
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to maintenance (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing locks, replacing light bulbs).
- Drive Airport Shuttle
- Collaborate with the front desk and housekeeping teams to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct regular safety checks across the property, including fire alarms, emergency exits, and lighting.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and hotel brand safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, promptly addressing any hazards.
Additional Duties
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, or pool upkeep as required.
- Support housekeeping and operations teams with large furniture moves or setup requests.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in building, property, or hotel maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Working Hours:
- Full-time schedule with flexibility for weekends and holidays.
- Occasional on-call responsibilities for urgent repairs.
