Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of:
- Domestic hot water systems / water heaters
- HVAC systems (split units, PTAC, mini-split, etc.)
- ERV / ventilation systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues related to heating, cooling, and ventilation.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external vendors when specialized service is required.
- Maintain basic maintenance records and report equipment conditions.
- Ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in building or hotel maintenance preferred.
- Practical experience with water heaters, HVAC, and ventilation systems is required.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Familiarity with hotel or commercial building environments is a plus.
- NYC-related certifications (e.g., EPA 608, OSHA) are a plus but not required.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
