Hotel Maintenance Technician (Water Heater / HVAC / ERV)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of:
• Domestic hot water systems / water heaters
• HVAC systems (split units, PTAC, mini-split, etc.)
• ERV / ventilation systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues related to heating, cooling, and ventilation.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external vendors when specialized service is required.
• Maintain basic maintenance records and report equipment conditions.
• Ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in building or hotel maintenance preferred.
• Practical experience with water heaters, HVAC, and ventilation systems is required.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Familiarity with hotel or commercial building environments is a plus.
• NYC-related certifications (e.g., EPA 608, OSHA) are a plus but not required.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
