Hotel Maintenance Technician/Engineer

Position: Engineering Enthusiast / Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Pay: $20/hour

Summary:
Responsible for maintaining hotel equipment and facilities, completing maintenance requests, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintain hotel systems and tools
• Complete and track work orders using the property management system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Monitor safety systems (e.g., fire alarms) and respond to emergencies
• Assist with inventory, supplies, and preventive maintenance
• Ensure guest safety, privacy, and satisfaction
• Support team members and train staff when needed

Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Professional appearance and attention to detail

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or technical certification
• 1–2 years of maintenance or engineering experience
