We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our beautifully restored 16-room boutique hotel. This is not a behind-the-desk leadership role — we're looking for someone who thrives on being present, engaged, and involved in every corner of the guest experience.
The right candidate will be as comfortable welcoming a guest at the front desk as they are inspecting a room before check-in or jumping in wherever the day demands. You'll work closely with a small, dedicated team to uphold the charm, character, and standards that make The Majestic Hotel special.
A live-in option is available for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- Work the front desk, manage check-ins and check-outs, and serve as the face of the hotel for our guests
- Conduct daily room inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation meet our standards
- Oversee housekeeping and coordinate with maintenance to keep the property in top condition
- Hire, train, and lead a small team with a hospitality-first mindset
- Manage scheduling, daily operations, and vendor relationships
- Monitor occupancy, rates, and expenses to meet ownership's financial goals
- Collaborate with ownership on marketing, positioning, and growing the hotel's reputation
- Develop and enforce SOPs that reflect the quality and character of our boutique brand
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise — no task is too big or too small
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of hotel operations or management experience, ideally in a boutique or independent property
- A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude — you lead by example and aren't afraid to get involved
- Strong front office knowledge and comfort with PMS and hotel technology systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to stay calm, solutions-focused, and positive under pressure
- Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail, especially around property presentation
Schedule & Commitment
- Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week
- Flexibility required — including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Shifts will be coordinated with the team to ensure seamless daily operations
This is a rare opportunity to put your stamp on a beloved boutique property and build something truly special. If you love hospitality at its most personal and authentic, we'd love to hear from you.
