Hotel Night Auditor

About Us

Verta Hotels is preparing for an exciting transition to Delta Hotels by Marriott – McAllen Airport, a 150-room full-service property featuring a restaurant, bar, banquet and meeting spaces, and vibrant food & beverage operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Night Auditor to join our team and serve as the overnight point of contact for guests while managing the hotel’s nightly financial reconciliation.

Position Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel overnight, including guest check-ins/outs, responding to guest needs, and completing daily financial and accounting reports. This role combines front desk guest service with accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests during late check-ins and early check-outs.
• Perform nightly financial balancing, reconcile daily transactions, and prepare audit reports.
• Process payments, post room charges, and ensure billing accuracy.
• Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
• Prepare for the next day’s operations (reports, housekeeping lists, breakfast setup coordination).
• Uphold Marriott brand standards for service, hospitality, and financial accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous customer service or front desk/receptionist experience.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math/accounting skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computers and ability to learn hotel PMS systems.
• Dependable, professional, and guest-focused.

Preferred

• 1+ year of hotel front desk or night audit experience.
• Familiarity with Marriott systems (MARSHA, FOSSE, or similar PMS).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills, a plus in the McAllen market.
• Prior experience with daily financial balancing, reconciliations, or cash handling.

Schedule

• Overnight shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekends and holidays required

Pay

Starting at $13.00 per hour and up (commensurate with experience)
