Hotel Nikko Guam - General Maintenance Worker (Full-Time Status)

Job Overview
Hotel Nikko Guam is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time General Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities, ensuring all systems and equipment operate efficiently, and providing exceptional service to our guests. This role requires a versatile individual with strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, capable of handling diverse repair and maintenance tasks across the property. The position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct repairs involving welding, residential painting, and other maintenance person tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics, CMMS software, and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to maintain facility operations.
• Supervise or assist with projects requiring leadership or supervising experience, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS or similar facilities management systems.
• Assist in supervising subcontractors or vendors during specialized repair or installation work.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and hotel standards for quality and cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or issues related to facility maintenance to uphold excellent customer service standards.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in electrical work, including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is highly desirable.
• Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general maintenance person tasks.
• Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members.
• Supervising experience with leadership capabilities to oversee maintenance projects or teams.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical systems, welding, and general facilities maintenance.
