Hotel Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
  • Lead and supervise staff to ensure high standards of guest service, safety, and cleanliness are maintained
  • Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring memorable experiences for all visitors
  • Implement revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and profitability
  • Coordinate with human resources on staffing, training, performance evaluations, and employee development initiatives
  • Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and oversee financial reporting including night audit procedures
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and industry standards while fostering a positive work environment

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience in hospitality or hotel management roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational excellence
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
  • Knowledge of hospitality management systems, multi-line phone systems, and front desk operations including phone etiquette
  • Experience in revenue management, budgeting, and financial analysis within a resort or hotel setting
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff
  • Familiarity with human resources practices related to staffing, training, and employee relations
  • Ability to handle night audit procedures efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in guest accounts
