Hotel PM Lobby & Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are excited to find an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Hotel PM Lobby & Laundry Attendantwho is all about hospitality and providing exceptional delivery of guest service. As a Hotel PM Lobby & Laundry Attendant, you will wash, dry, and fold items and clean public areas. You will be also responsible for sorting the laundry and storing them safely so they remain clean and fresh. You will be working with washer and dryer equipment using various laundry and cleaning techniques. You will be focused in optimizing each guest experience by providing spotlessly clean, laundered, and pressed sheets, linens, towels, pillow cases for guest rooms and by providing excellent laundry service. This position will report to the Housekeeping Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, remove stains, dry, fold and press numerous hotel linen and laundry items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, restrooms, corridors, and all public areas throughout the shift.
  • Respond promptly to spills, guest requests, and maintenance issues.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies in public restrooms and common areas.
  • Support front desk and operations team with guest-facing requests as needed.
  • Sort and arrange laundry items according to material and color.
  • Prepare and wrap the laundry items for pickup or delivery.
  • Update the laundry list and record it on a daily basis.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the laundry room.
  • Assist fellow laundry attendants in loading and unloading laundry washers and dryers.
  • Maintain and update inventory level of detergents and other laundry supplies.
  • Respond to guests’ complaints in a professional manner.
  • Provide various other laundry services if required.
  • Complete and adhere to all required brand training, quality standards, health department rules/regulations, and service guidelines.
  • Comply with all brand audits and guest satisfaction benchmark.
  • Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free.
  • Perform all job duties safely and report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries to the Chief Engineer and other members of management.
  • Ensure privacy of guests, confidentiality of proprietary information, and company assets are protected.
  • Participate in departmental projects (e.g. deep cleaning).
  • Perform pre- and post-shift duties and any other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven working experience as a Laundry Attendant, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Experience in using laundry and drying machines, detergents, cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Understand and follow instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work independently, with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and objects.
  • Quick decision-making skills; a problem solver.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Quick to embrace and lead change; flexible and adaptable changes and demands.
  • Excellent in multi-tasking, prioritizing, organizing and managing time in a high pressure, fast-pace and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent physical stamina to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, lift, carry and move around the department for extended periods of time during shift under hot conditions.
  • Flexible to work various shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform all job duties safely and report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Punctual, reliable and is able to begin each shift fully refreshed and prepared for any tasks.
  • Thrives in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected.
  • Comply with appropriate personal hygiene and appearance, and uniform are neat, clean and professional.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and providing exceptional and genuine delivery of guest service.
