Hotel Security Guard and Groundskeeper

Overnight Security and Groundskeeping Position – American Inn Hotel
1211 Armour Rd, North Kansas City, MO 64116

American Inn Hotel is currently hiring for a part-time Overnight Security Associate. This position is ideal for someone reliable, observant, and comfortable working independently.

Schedule:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
32 hours per week

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring property to ensure guest and staff safety
• Responding to noise complaints and handling guest concerns professionally
• De-escalating situations calmly and effectively when needed
• Performing regular hallway and property walkthroughs
• Assisting with groundskeeping duties such as:
• Emptying trash cans (inside and outside)
• Picking up trash throughout the parking lot
• Sweeping and maintaining cleanliness of exterior areas
• Supporting banquet operations, including setup and teardown of events
• Communicating with front desk staff regarding any issues or incidents

Requirements:

• Must be dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working overnight hours independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Prior security or customer service experience preferred (but not required)

Pay:
Pay will be discussed during the interview and is based on experience.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
