House Electrician

Position: House / Residential Electrician

Location: Qatar

Industry: Facility Management / Maintenance / Construction

Experience Required: 3–5 Years (GCC experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential buildings and villas.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults such as short circuits, tripping issues, damaged wiring, and power failures.
• Install and maintain electrical fixtures including lights, switches, sockets, fans, MCBs, DB boards, and circuit breakers.
• Conduct routine inspections for electrical safety, load distribution, and system efficiency.
• Repair and replace wiring, conduits, cables, and electrical accessories as needed.
• Handle maintenance of home appliances (basic knowledge) such as water heaters, exhaust fans, pumps, etc.
• Ensure all work complies with Qatar electrical codes and safety standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out quick, effective troubleshooting.
• Maintain service logs, repair reports, and daily task documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, clients, and other technicians for smooth workflow.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, load schedules, and electrical layouts.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Familiarity with proper load balancing and safety breaker systems.
• Skilled in using testing tools: multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.
• Safe working practices and good awareness of electrical hazards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a House/Residential Electrician.
• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or related field.
• Must have knowledge of DB dressing, cabling, conduit work, and panel maintenance.
• GCC experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Should be physically fit and willing to work overtime or emergency calls.
