We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Houseperson to join our team at Quality Inn Bangor. This is a Part Time position located in Bangor, ME. In this position you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel and grounds, moving furniture, and interacting with guests.

We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Houseperson to join our team at Quality Inn Bangor. This is a Part Time position located in Bangor, ME. In this position you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel and grounds, moving furniture, and interacting with guests.

Work Performed

As a houseperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel to create a memorable and unique experience for our guests.

• Provide basic housekeeping duties for all public spaces including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
• Report cases of property damage to supervisor
• Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Previous houseperson experience preferred, but not required
• Continuous standing 90% of time
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited
• Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: Part Time 20-30 Hours AM;Mid;Must be flexible;Weekends;Holidays

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

• Previous customer facing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus

Compensation

$16.50 Hourly
