A professional family in Huntsville is seeking a dependable, organized, and warm Household Manager with light nanny support to become a long-term, trusted presence in their home.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running the household side of family life while also spending meaningful time with children as part of a shared-care team.

The Role at a Glance

This is a structured, split-role position where household management is the primary focus, with nanny support woven into the day.

The family also has an Au Pair, so childcare responsibilities are shared and collaborative.

• Mornings: Supporting the children alongside the Au Pair and assisting with school routines
• Midday (while children are at school): Household management and organization (primary focus)
• Afternoons: School pickup and shared care, enrichment, and routines

This role is designed to feel balanced and sustainable, not overwhelming.

Schedule & Pay

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 40 hours/week (35 guaranteed hours)
• $22–25/hour, paid weekly (based on experience)
• Start date: Immediate

About the Family

• Two children (4.5 years & 20 months)
• Au Pair supports daily childcare
• Values structure, minimal screen time, outdoor play, and clear routines
• Professional household that values privacy, communication, and respect

Household Manager Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

(performed primarily while children are at school)

• Grocery shopping and household supply restocking
• Pantry, household, and child inventory tracking
• Light meal prep and kitchen resets
• Running household and child-related errands
• Family calendar coordination and scheduling support
• Light administrative tasks (forms, RSVPs, organization)
• Organizing children’s spaces and rotating seasonal items
• Preparing the home for scheduled services

Nanny Support Responsibilities (Shared with Au Pair)

• Assisting with morning routines and transitions
• School drop-off and pickup as needed
• Supporting age-appropriate activities and enrichment
• Preparing children’s snacks and meals
• Children’s laundry and daily tidying of play areas
• Supporting nap and quiet time

Requirements

• Must be 21+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Clean criminal background
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Non-smoker

• Household management experience
• Experience supporting professional families
• Spanish-speaking
• Experience collaborating with an Au Pair or shared-care household
