Housekeeper

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of living or working spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care.
• Maintain floors through proper care techniques including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing to preserve their appearance and safety.
• Ensure all areas are sanitized according to health guidelines by disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents’ or clients’ requests promptly and professionally.
• Manage cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing to maintain operational efficiency.
• Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as scheduling cleaning routines or supervising junior staff in larger facilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, sanitation practices, and laundry procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending comfortably.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping procedures or housekeeper management is a plus.
