Housekeeper
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Employment Classification: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Location: Howell
Position Summary:
Maintain the housekeeping and upkeep of University buildings including but not limited to student housing and common areas, classrooms, offices, bathrooms and banquet facilities. Perform custodial tasks-waste removal and recycling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial functions as necessary to maintain clean buildings including restrooms, offices, classrooms and common spaces.
- Respond to requests and support University staff/students/customers in a timely manner.
- Report maintenance, safety or supply needs to appropriate personnel.
- Setup and breakdown rooms for meetings or events as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Able to manage physical demands of an active position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Custodial background preferred

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts and be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience.
