Job Summary:

The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for guests. This includes cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and occasionally assisting with laundry or special guest requests. A strong focus on guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and time management is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms, corridors, restrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards
• Change linens, make beds, and replenish room amenities
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust surfaces
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items
• Follow proper cleaning and sanitation protocols, especially for bathrooms
• Ensure guest requests and needs are responded to promptly and courteously
• Follow departmental policies and hotel procedures
• Restock housekeeping carts and closets at the end of each shift
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and wear protective gear as required
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (not always required)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physically fit and able to lift, push, and pull up to [X lbs/kg]
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic knowledge of English (or local language) for communication
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions:

• Physically demanding work: standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks
• Use of cleaning chemicals and exposure to various cleaning environments
• Must wear uniform and follow hotel grooming standards
• Work may include early mornings or evening shifts
