Housekeeper

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of specified areas of Center.

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION

Clean kitchen daily, including sanitizing surfaces as appropriate
Clean and sanitize unit refrigerators inside and out on a weekly basis
Dust and mop patient rooms daily, emptying waste receptacles into plastic bags and discarding into appropriate containers
Vacuum all carpeted areas, as required to maintain sanitation standards
Clean bathroom daily ensuring that sanitation standards are maintained
Wash and clean walls as necessary
Dust heating and air conditioning vents weekly, ensuring maintenance is contacted on vents that are rusted or cannot be cleaned
Ensure adequate supply of bed linen and housekeeping supplies are available in designated areas
