Housekeeper and Laundry Attendent

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant to join our hotel team. This role is responsible for helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our guests through both guest room cleaning and hotel laundry operations.

The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, follows brand and hotel standards, and understands the importance of creating a positive guest experience. This position requires someone who can manage time well, work independently, and assist in both housekeeping and laundry functions based on daily operational needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping Duties

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, public areas, and back-of-house spaces according to hotel standards
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and restock guest room supplies and amenities
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and remove trash from guest rooms and common areas
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, missing items, and overall presentation before marking rooms as ready
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, safety hazards, or lost and found items promptly to management
• Ensure carts, storage areas, and housekeeping supplies are organized and fully stocked
• Follow proper room cleaning procedures for stayovers, checkouts, and deep cleans
• Maintain productivity while ensuring quality and attention to detail

Laundry Duties

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, pillowcases, sheets, and other laundry items
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor linen quality and remove damaged, stained, or worn items from circulation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas
• Assist with inventory and par levels of linen and laundry supplies
• Deliver clean linens to designated housekeeping and storage areas in a timely manner
• Follow all procedures related to chemical handling, machine safety, and infection prevention

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks efficiently
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to follow instructions, hotel policies, and safety procedures
• Weekend availability is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25–40 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and physically demanding tasks
