Housekeeper / Household Manager (Part-Time, Bilingual Required)

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Household Manager to support our busy professional household. This is not a cleaning service position—we are looking for an individual who will take ownership of maintaining a clean, organized, and well-managed home environment.

Housekeeping and household management are the primary focus of this role, requiring someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and creating a smoothly functioning home. In addition to these responsibilities, there will be a portion of each day dedicated to childcare for one child.

This is a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) required position, as we value daily Spanish conversation and exposure within the home.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and values both structure and warmth—someone who can confidently manage a home while also engaging positively with a child in a nurturing and supportive way.

Compensation & Benefits

Schedule & Expectations

• Part-time: 4 days per week, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• One day per week dedicated fully to deep cleaning and completing remaining weekly family meal prep (no childcare duties)
• No additional children permitted during working hours

Key Responsibilities

Primary: Housekeeping & Household Management

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining kitchen and bathroom areas
• Change linens, maintain laundry routines, and ensure all areas of the home are consistently clean and orderly
• Organize and maintain all household spaces, ensuring everything is in its proper place
• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules based on household needs
• Complete one full deep cleaning day weekly, along with finishing all remaining weekly family meal prep
• Take initiative in identifying and completing tasks that contribute to an efficiently run household

Household Support, Cooking & Organization

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for the family as part of daily and weekly routines
• Assist with weekly meal planning, grocery organization, and kitchen management
• Support ongoing meal prep throughout the week, ensuring food is ready and organized for the family’s needs
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and household-related tasks
• Provide thoughtful, detail-oriented care in all aspects of maintaining the home

Childcare (Secondary Responsibility)

• Provide attentive care for one child during a portion of the workday
• Engage in educational activities, outdoor play, and structured routines
• Communicate in Spanish during interactions to support natural language exposure
• Assist with meals, dressing, and age-appropriate developmental activities

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Strong housekeeping and household management experience is essential
• Proven ability to maintain structured cleaning routines and organized living spaces
• Experience with meal planning, cooking, and family meal preparation
• Prior childcare or nanny experience preferred (especially with preschool-aged children)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Professional, trustworthy, and respectful of a private household environment
