About Us
Welcome to Cobblestone Inn & Suites of Maryville—a quiet, charming lakeside retreat just steps from Mozingo Lake Golf Course and the Mozingo Event Center. Our guests appreciate cozy rooms, a relaxed atmosphere, and a friendly, hands-on team. As part of our Housekeeping staff, you’ll help ensure every room meets our high standards in 30 minutes or less. Because we don’t have separate maintenance or laundry personnel, you’ll also handle your own cart-stocking and restock linens from downstairs to upstairs (no elevator). Once your rooms are complete, you may clock out—no need to stay beyond your workload.
Position Overview
As a Housekeeping Team Member, you’re responsible for turning over guest rooms quickly and thoroughly (30 minutes max per room) and restocking linens and supplies—upstairs to upstairs—without relying on a dedicated laundry department. The front desk supervises via dashboard watch to confirm no room exceeds 30 minutes.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Room Cleaning & Turnover (≤ 30 Minutes per Room)
- Strip & Re-make Beds: Remove used linens; change sheets, pillowcases, and blankets.
- Dust & Vacuum All Surfaces: Nightstands, dressers, lamps, headboards, baseboards, and furniture.
- Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down and disinfect the toilet, sink, tub/shower, mirror, window, and floor.
- Restock Amenities: Refill coffee maker supplies, ice buckets, drinking glasses, toiletries, and in-room fridge items (if applicable).
- Room Inspection: Check walls, paint, furniture, TV/remote, lamps, thermostat, and closet area. Immediately report any damage or maintenance issues to management.
- Trash Removal: Empty trash cans, replace liners, and take waste to the disposal area.
- Public Area Support
- Minimal Lobby Duties: Remove trash from public receptacles; replace liners. (No mopping, sweeping, or deep cleaning of hallways is required.)
- Brief Touch-Ups: Wipe down front-desk counters or seating areas if visibly soiled; notify management of any larger spills or hazards.
- Cart & Linen Restocking (No Laundry Department)
- Downstairs-to-Upstairs Restock: Carry clean linens, towels, and supplies from the storage room downstairs up three flights of stairs (no elevator).
- Cart Organization: Before each shift, ensure your housekeeping cart is stocked with fresh linens, towels, pillows, toiletries, and cleaning chemicals. Once you’re low, return downstairs to restock your cart.
- Shelf Maintenance: Keep the upstairs linen shelves organized—rotate stock so older linens get used first; inform management when supplies are running low.
- Dashboard Watch & Time Management
- 30-Minute Rule: Housekeeping supervisors monitor completion times via dashboard. Every room must be finished within 30 minutes. If you’re running over, ask for assistance or notify the front desk immediately.
- Efficient Workflow: Plan your cleaning route to minimize backtracking (e.g., finish one hallway before moving to the next block of rooms).
- Maintenance Reporting (No Dedicated Maintenance Staff)
- Identify & Report: If you discover a broken lamp, leaking faucet, malfunctioning TV, or any hazard, inform the General Manager or Assistant Manager immediately.
- Minor Fixes (Optional): If you’re trained and it’s safe—tightening a loose light bulb, clearing a small clog—feel free to address minor issues; otherwise, escalate to management.
- Team Collaboration & Communication
- Guest Requests: Relay any guest needs (extra pillows, irons/ironing boards, microwaves, local recommendations) to Front Desk staff promptly.
- Status Updates: Keep room-status software accurate—mark rooms Vacant/Clean once finished so Front Desk can assign check-ins without delay.
- Friendly Interaction: Greet guests with a smile if you encounter them in the hallway, and offer quick local tips if asked (restaurants, outdoor activities, nearby attractions).
- Safety & Brand Standards
- Chemical Safety: Always wear gloves and use cleaning solutions per label instructions.
- Adherence to Checklists: Follow Cobblestone’s official cleaning checklist for each room to ensure consistency and brand compliance.
- Report Hazards: Immediately alert management to any spills, loose flooring, or other safety concerns in guest areas or hallways.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience & Skills
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience is helpful but not required—comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
- Basic computer skills—able to update room statuses in our dashboard system.
- Outstanding attention to detail; you must consistently finish each room within 30 minutes without compromising quality.
- Strong verbal communication—able to interact politely with guests and colleagues.
- Familiarity with local attractions (dining, outdoor recreation, wellness services) is a plus, as guests often ask for recommendations.
- Personal Traits & Availability
- Reliable personal transportation; must arrive punctually.
- Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Neat, well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic; comfortable with physical tasks (lifting carts, climbing stairs, bending, standing).
- Time-management mindset—able to plan your workflow to meet the 30-minute requirement.
- Commitment to Team & Culture
- Collaborative spirit—coordinate with Front Desk and management since there’s no separate maintenance or laundry team.
- Openness to feedback from General Manager (Harmony Chaney) and Assistant Manager (Chey Munson) to continually improve speed and quality.
- Guest-first mentality: always thinking, “How can I make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable?”
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Efficient, Flexible Schedule: Clean each room in 30 minutes and head home—no “waiting around” if you finish early.

- Beautiful Lakeside Setting: Enjoy a peaceful work environment—wake up knowing you’re steps from Missouri’s natural beauty.
