Housekeeping / Floor Care Aide

Hilltop Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping / Floor Care Aide to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring all housekeeping and floor care duties are completed according to facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces.

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility.

• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials.

• Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.

• Perform routine floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.

• Operate housekeeping and floor care equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

• Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate department.

• Interact with residents, families, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.

• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or floor care experience preferred, but not required.

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and floor care machinery or willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
