Housekeeping Floor Technician

Overview
True Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Floor Technician to join our environmental services team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of floors and surface areas throughout the facility. This role involves operating floor‑care equipment, performing routine and deep‑cleaning tasks, and ensuring all assigned areas meet established cleanliness and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesFloor Care & Cleaning

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish hard‑surface floors.
  • Vacuum, extract, and spot‑clean carpets and rugs.
  • Operate floor‑care machines such as:
  • Auto‑scrubbers
  • Buffers/burnishers
  • Carpet extractors
  • Wet/dry vacuums
  • Perform routine and deep floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, and refinishing floors.
  • Remove spills, stains, and other debris promptly to maintain safety.

General Housekeeping Duties

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and common spaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers as needed.
  • Assist with moving furniture or equipment during cleaning procedures.
  • Follow proper chemical handling, labeling, and storage procedures according to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or floor‑care roles (preferred but not always required).
  • Knowledge of floor‑care techniques, equipment operation, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
