Housekeeper- Environmental Services

Duties include floortech, laundry and cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, care areas, common areas and offices. Full-time day shift, rotating weekends.

In continuous operation since 1908, Josephine Caring Community offers multiple levels of residential senior care in a one-campus, intergenerational setting. This position is based in the skilled nursing facility/nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Ensure all areas are sanitized and safe for residents and staff.
• Maintain floor care including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as required.
• Respond to resident requests for cleaning services promptly.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Assist in meal delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred.
• Food Handlers Card required for the Assisted Living position
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to interact with residents and staff effectively.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safety protocols.
