Housekeeping Houseperson

Position Summary

The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the distinctive charm and high standards of our boutique hotel. Working closely with the Housekeeping team, this position ensures our public spaces, guest floors, and common areas reflect the unique character and quality our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove trash and recyclables from guest floors, hallways, service areas, and public spaces in a timely and discreet manner
• Clean and maintain all public areas including the lobby, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms to boutique standards
• Respond promptly to requests from housekeeping, the front desk, and guests for supplies, amenities, or assistance
• Deliver requested guest room amenity items and supplies promptly and professionally
• Assist room attendants with deep cleaning tasks, turn-down support, and special projects as directed by supervisors
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or property damage to the appropriate team immediately
• Take ownership of ongoing projects — whether deep cleaning initiatives, seasonal refreshes, or property improvement tasks — ensuring they are seen through to completion
• Uphold the aesthetic and atmosphere of the property by maintaining an unobtrusive, professional presence on guest floors

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout an entire shift
• Detail-oriented with a genuine pride in cleanliness and presentation
• Dependable and consistent — someone the team can count on to show up, follow through, and get the job done
• A self-starter who is always productive, moving from task to task and keeping ongoing projects on track even during quieter periods
• Reliable and punctual with flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Warm, professional demeanor with a guest-first attitude

Work Environment

This is a full-time or part-time, hourly position set within a close-knit, service-focused team environment. Uniforms and thorough onboarding are provided.
