Job Summary

The Houseperson is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by cleaning public areas, delivering supplies, removing trash and linens, and assisting with guest requests. This position helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and meeting spaces.
  • Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest rooms and storage areas.
  • Collect and transport dirty linens and trash to designated disposal areas.
  • Assist room attendants with heavy lifting, furniture movement, and special cleaning projects.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for additional supplies and services.
  • Replenish housekeeping closets and storage rooms.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items to management.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Support deep-cleaning and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Hotel, resort, or hospitality setting.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying indoor temperatures.
  • Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
