Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team.

This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment for our residents, families, and staff. Experience in a healthcare EVS setting is REQUIRED , but we will consider candidates from the hospitality industry with strong sanitation and housekeeping experience.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and laundry services in accordance with facility standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory guidelines.

This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Follow proper infection control procedures and chemical usage guidelines
• Handle, sort, wash, dry, and distribute resident laundry
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Follow facility policies related to OSHA, CMS, and infection prevention standards
• Properly label and store chemicals according to safety regulations
• Work cooperatively with nursing and other departments to maintain a safe environment
• Respond promptly to environmental service requests
• Maintain professional, respectful interactions with residents and staff
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare EVS experience is REQUIRED
• Hospitality housekeeping experience will be considered
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution, safety protocols, and infection control procedures is required
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity standards
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work on time
• Attendance is critical — consistent, dependable presence required
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screening
