Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Laundry Aide to support our facility’s cleanliness and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, experience in environmental services, and a commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and laundry duties that ensure the safety, comfort, and health of our residents and staff.

Duties

• Perform cleaning duties throughout the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, hallways, and restrooms, following established sanitation protocols.
• Operate laundry equipment safely to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and resident personal items efficiently.
• Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain proper sanitation standards by using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques for different surfaces and materials.
• Assist with waste disposal in accordance with environmental services regulations to promote a hygienic environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and laundry materials; notify supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
• Adhere to infection control procedures specific to healthcare settings, including proper handling of soiled linens and contaminated items.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or hospital environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with environmental services practices related to sanitation, floor care, and commercial cleaning is essential.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations relevant to cleaning procedures within healthcare facilities is preferred.
• Experience operating laundry machinery safely and efficiently is advantageous.
• Prior work in a skilled nursing or hospital setting demonstrates understanding of infection control protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and safety procedures. Pay: $15.50 - $16.25 per hour
