Housekeeping Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, janitorial, or custodial services, with proven leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction across all areas. The Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure that cleaning procedures are followed efficiently and that team members are trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met consistently.
• Schedule shifts and assign tasks to housekeeping team members based on operational needs.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Provide training and ongoing coaching to staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as necessary.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures related to industrial cleaning, floor care, and janitorial tasks.
• Address guest or staff concerns promptly, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and incident reports as required.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, floor care, or custodial services within hospitality or industrial environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, janitorial practices, and hospitality industry requirements.
• Ability to perform various cleaning tasks including industrial cleaning and specialized floor care techniques.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in supervising daily operations.
• Good communication skills for training staff and interacting with guests or management.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
