Job Summary: Supervisor the housekeeping department and its associates in day to day operations. Keep the Atrium clean, orderly, and presentable by following all regulatory guidelines and facility policies while maintaining a friendly, customer-oriented demeanor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience of 1 year or great preferred
- Supervisory experience of 1 year of greater.
Skills and Requirements:
- Must have the ability to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are cognitively impaired, ill, disabled, or emotionally upset.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment required
- Must have an attention to detail and be self-motivated
- Must have a passion for working within an elderly community
- Must have time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to plan work so minimal disturbance is caused to residents
Job Duties:
· Ensure compliance in all safety and regulatory procedures.
·Make the housekeeping associate schedule.
· Supervise/assign the associates in their cleaning duties.
· Clean and maintain all general areas of the Atrium performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and more
· Ensure that all resident rooms are cared for and inspected according to Atrium standard.
· Follow all required infection control practices, health department regulations, and company policies
· Follow cleaning checklists
· Notify supervisor to any damages, deficits, or disturbances
· Have positive and professional interactions with residents, guests, and fellow staff members using patience and
· Launder cleaning items and linens
· Sanitize items and areas regularly
· Properly dispose of waste materials
· Clean spills and messes in timely manner
- Follow all proper guidelines in MSDS sheets for all chemical usage, storing, and filling
- Clean resident rooms prior to intake and at discharge in accordance to infection control policies and regulations
- Recognize and act on safety hazards – wipe up spills or wet spots off floor, keep hallways uncluttered when using cleaning equipment.
- Use proper caution signage and safety procedures around residents when cleaning.
- Keep harmful chemicals safely stored, secured and away from residents
- Refill soaps, paper towels, sanitizers, and other products in resident rooms and common areas as needed
- Clean and sanitize all restroom areas
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper condition
- Must complete all mandatory education and training programs
- Attend meetings as required
· All other duties as assigned
