Job Summary

Marketplace is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial / Housekeeping Associate to support operations at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). This role combines traditional housekeeping and custodial responsibilities and is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for airport travelers, tenants, and staff.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains a heightened level of awareness in busy, high-traffic areas, and understands the importance of cleanliness in creating a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout PHL food court areas, guest accommodation spaces, and common areas

· Perform detailed cleaning of furniture, floors, receptacles, hallways, and back-of-house areas

· Maintain food court seating and service areas to Marketplace and airport standards

· Provide cleaning maintenance support to airport retail stores and restaurants operated by Marketplace

· Manage waste and recycling, including disposing of trash and recyclables, replacing liners, and maintaining proper waste storage

· Provide cleaning maintenance to compactor and waste management areas

· Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage

· Follow high-level standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements

· Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks in a fast-paced airport environment

Qualifications & Experience

· Proven experience as a housekeeper, maid, or custodial staff in a hotel, residential, airport, retail, or other large facility environment

· Strong attention to detail and situational awareness, especially in busy public spaces

· Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safe use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals

· Ability to follow detailed procedures and compliance standards

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

· Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy loads

· Physical stamina to lift, carry, bend, and perform repetitive motions as required
