Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
• Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Execute floor care procedures such as carpet cleaning to uphold the appearance throughout the facility.
• Ensure proper sanitation protocols are followed for all surfaces and equipment in accordance with hospital policies and environmental services guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management by stocking cleaning supplies and reporting needs for replenishment promptly.
• Support emergency response procedures by following established safety protocols during incidents or hazardous situations.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in healthcare or hospital environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and environmental services standards essential for maintaining hygiene excellence.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness across multiple areas.
• Experience with floor care procedures such as carpet cleaning is desirable.
