Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman/Public Area Attendant to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our hotel’s public spaces. In this vital role, you will ensure that all guest-facing areas are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure surfaces are pristine and safe for guests and staff.
• Monitor the cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements in public spaces, reporting any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of public area amenities for events or special occasions as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures related to industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others.
• Support housekeeping management by completing assigned tasks efficiently and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout your shift.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold the hotel’s standards of hospitality and cleanliness at all times.
• Strip linens from rooms.
• Walk hallways to ensure they are free of linen.
• Clean elevator tracks and walls.

Experience

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred.
• Experience with janitorial or industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers, extractors, and vacuums is desirable.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards ensures an understanding of guest expectations for cleanliness.
• Previous custodial experience in large-scale or commercial settings enhances your ability to handle diverse cleaning challenges effectively.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
