ALKO Hotels and the Tru by Hilton are currently hiring for a Houseperson.

They will work in the laundry room as well as clean the lobby and public areas.

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

To ensure that all areas of the hotel are kept properly stocked with clean laundry items.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sorts linens for washer.
2. Removes stains from badly soiled linen.
3. Operates washers and dryers properly.
4. Folds all linens to hotel standards.
6. Washes bed linens
7. Distributes linen and terry to housekeeping closets
8. Checks daily for Exercise Room linen needs.
9. Handles all laundry chemical products properly and advises Housekeeper of inventory levels.
10. Assists Housekeepers in other areas including keeping common areas clean when laundry is slow or work is caught up.

11. Vacuum Hallways

12. Clean 2 public restrooms

13. Assist Housekeepers as needed.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

1. Lifting/carrying- average weight frequently 25-50lbs. Reach, handle, pushing/pulling average weight occasionally 100 lbs.

2. Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
3. Reaching overhead, pushing and pulling; repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
2. Must adhere to Company’s safety standards and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Physical ability to perform duties assigned.
2. Ability to communicate with team members and management effectively.
3. Excellent time management skills; ability to work under time constraints, and in fast paced environment.
4. Ability to follow Company policy and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
