Houseplant Buyer/Department Head & Team Members - Irving, TX

• Manage all aspects of our Deco and Houseplant categories, including customer service and visual merchandising.
  • For Houseplants:
    • Purchase houseplant product based on trends, customer needs, inventory levels, corporate spreads, demographics, special events, and seasonality.
    • Merchandise houseplant product to drive sales.
    • Manage and participate in the stocking, cleaning, and watering of the houseplants.
  • For Deco, merchandise to drive sales, stocking and cleaning of displayed product.
  • For both Houseplants and Deco, timely and efficient management of freight flow.
• Become familiar with Sales dashboard and keep track of department sales.
• Managing, mentoring, and educating staff while also ensuring positive morale within the team. Manage and support your team to ensure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to our customers while also multi-tasking to complete all departmental tasks.
• Communicate with store management regarding department needs.
• Dump and record non-retail quality product daily and process in inventory system weekly.
• Communicate with sales vendors regarding quality issues, deliveries, orders, or anything related to the company they represent.
