Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services, the Housing & Campus Security Director will provide leadership of all on-campus residential facilities and foster a safe and secure campus environment for all team members. The position is responsible for managing the daily operations and staff of the Housing & Campus Security departments.
Constant (67-100%)
- Lead daily operations of the Housing & Campus Security Departments.
- Manage, train, and schedule all staff within the Housing & Campus Security departments.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development of department staff.
- Evaluate processes and create operational enhancements for seamless procedures.
- Create a safe and secure campus housing culture.
Frequent (34-66%)
- Present Housing & Campus Security information for recruitment and retention of all team members and students.
- Oversee department budgets
- Facilitate a comprehensive student residence assistance and engagement program.
- Coordinate and facilitate housing activities.
- Prepare and evaluate a variety of housing and campus security reports.
- Partner with Physical Facilities to ensure proper maintenance and care of housing facilities.
- Create and facilitate ongoing emergency preparedness planning and training campus wide.
- Collect information on crime, fire, and disciplinary statistics
- Serve as a liaison to local law enforcement officials.
Occasional (10-33%)
- Update Housing & Campus Security policies, procedures, and marketing materials.
- Serve as a first line of contact for housing-related emergencies.
- Participate in campus-wide committees, events, and other job-related duties.
- Assist with publishing Annual Security Report (ASR) per the Clery Act federal requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred with demonstrated progressive professional experience in student housing or campus security, or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Experience managing 24-hour operations preferred.
