About the Role
Thurmond Consulting LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator to support our Housing, Real Estate and Development (HRED) team. This role provides essential administrative, scheduling, document management, and project coordination support to ensure project workflows remain efficient and organized.
The Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers and Directors to support real estate development and housing-related projects while helping maintain professional, timely, and high-quality deliverables. This position is ideal for someone interested in growing into a future Project Management role as the HRED team continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities:Process & Administrative Support
- Support the continuous improvement and standardization of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with the administrative execution of development agreements and consulting contracts
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shared file systems and project documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the Housing Development team
Project Coordination
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and Zoom/Teams logistics
- Attend meetings as needed to take detailed notes and track follow-up items
- Communicate with team members regarding assignments, deadlines, and project updates
- Enter and maintain project data in spreadsheets, checklists, and timelines
Document & Reporting Support
- Assist with editing, formatting, and finalizing reports, memos, applications, and presentations
- Help maintain and update project templates and materials
- Prepare high-level project status reports for leadership review
Workflow & Technology
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through workflow automation and AI tools
- Utilize emerging AI technologies to support team operations and productivity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
- Experience using or learning AI technologies to improve workflow efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
- Experience supporting projects or teams; consulting, nonprofit, housing, or government experience is a plus
- Comfortable working within shared file systems such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or SharePoint
- Reliable, adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
Work Environment
- Remote position with occasional travel for team meetings, marketing events, or client engagements
- Must have access to:

- Position requires extended periods of computer-based work and sitting
