Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic HR and Operational Compliance Manager to lead our human resources initiatives and ensure organizational adherence to overall operational compliance . This role is vital in fostering a compliant, productive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance programs, with a strong understanding of HRIS systems and labor law and DOT (Department of Transportation) frameworks. This position offers an opportunity to influence organizational culture, implement best practices, and support senior leadership in strategic planning and workforce development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Owner's Daily Report
  • Talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, OSHA, workers' compensation, and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage employee relations by resolving conflicts, conducting employee evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Hands on employee onboarding and training & development initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Administer benefits programs, payroll processing via systems such as Paycom
  • Perform lunch break audits daily
  • Benefits administration
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and manage workers' compensation and commercial auto insurance claims effectively.

Skills

  • High level of proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law including FMLA, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies.
  • Proven experience in hands on talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Paycom or similar systems.
  • Hands on experience and expertise in benefits administration, payroll processing systems like ADP or Paychex.
  • Safety Audits for customer claims for property damages
  • Safety Audits and disciplinary action regarding accidents, injuries and fleet damages
  • Employee performance review based on scorecard safety and quality performance
  • Audits and purchasing of uniforms
  • Insurance renewals for commercial auto and worker's comp
  • Insurance claims management
  • Weekly audit of Authorized Fleet Size
  • Daily Audit of Out of Drive Time Packages
  • Data analysis skills for HR metrics tracking and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking coupled with operational expertise in Logistics field
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR professional to shape our human resources landscape while ensuring compliance across all facets of employment law and organizational policies.
  • Fleet Inspection Audits 3 times a week RSI (Road Side Inspection) Audits

The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands on leader capable of managing multiple priorities (HR and Operational Compliance) within a dynamic environment while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in human capital management.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
