SFW Construction is a growing exterior construction company specializing in siding, dry rot repair, painting, and exterior renovations throughout Oregon and Washington. We are seeking a highly organized and people-focused HR & Recruiting Coordinator to help support our growing team.
This position plays a critical role in helping SFW Construction scale its workforce while maintaining a smooth, professional, and compliant hiring and onboarding process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing both recruiting coordination and day-to-day HR operations.

ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Hiring
- Manage and maintain job postings across Indeed and other recruiting platforms
- Work closely with company recruiters and hiring managers to support staffing needs
- Review applications, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews
- Manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process
- Coordinate and complete onboarding procedures for new hires
- Process pre-employment paperwork and hiring documentation
- Conduct E-Verify and I-9 employment verification compliance
- Schedule and track drug screenings and background checks
- Ensure all hiring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant
- Assist in improving hiring workflows, onboarding systems, and recruiting processes
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with employee relations and HR-related questions
- Help maintain company policies and HR procedures
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations
- Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and administration
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll accuracy
- Track PTO requests and employee records
- Work closely with leadership and accounting teams on HR and payroll coordination
Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience preferred
- Experience with onboarding, hiring coordination, or HR operations
- Familiarity with E-Verify, I-9 compliance, and pre-employment processes preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Experience in construction, trades, or field-service industries is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Proficient with computer systems, scheduling, and online hiring platforms
