UCO of Miami's Human Resources Department is currently seeking an HR Assistant to fulfill a full-time position within the department. The ideal candidate will have an entry-level HR and Administrative background, excellent customer service skills, and great multitasking abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of High School diploma and/or equivalent with Secretarial/Business Course of study in High School, or equivalent experience (i.e. the job training, supported by relevant course work.).
  • AA degree, preferred.
  • 2 years relevant experience in Human Resources or 4 years working experience in the field proficiency with computers.
  • Personable manner in interacting with staff, individuals we serve, applicants, and in greeting visitors and/or answering telephones or intercoms.
  • Ability to proofread carefully and give close attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
  • Knowledge of filing procedures with multiple filing criteria.

Duties would include but not be limited to:

1) Enter new employees in GP & follow up

2) Responsible for taking and issuing all employees ID pictures & new hires' picture groups.

3) Enroll and follow up all Biometric Processes.

4) Send an email with the new hire's pending personnel file documents to the supervisors and directors, as needed.

5) Run MVR report for new employees, as needed.

6) Prepare, update, scan, and send all information for program dummy files, as needed.

7) Prepare and issue a Training Schedule to all new hires, as needed.

8) Complete initial and final paperwork for new employees scheduled and unscheduled when HR and Assistant HR director are unavailable.

9) File weekly and purge documents per the purging policy. (i.e. terminated, medical, and active employees’ personnel files)

10) Prepare and send annual and probation evaluations by the 5th of each month to include running MVR’s, as applicable. (all departments)

11) Clerical support to the HR and Administrative team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
