HR Benefits and Payroll Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Benefits and Payroll Supervisor to lead our benefits administration and payroll processes. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, manage benefits programs, ensure compliance with employment laws, and support human resources initiatives. Your expertise will help foster a positive employee experience while maintaining operational excellence across HR systems and regulatory requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence our organization’s HR functions through strategic oversight, data analysis, and effective communication. Duties

  • Supervise the daily operations of payroll processing using systems such as Paylocity, or other HCM to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage benefits administration programs including health insurance, retirement plans, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), workers' compensation, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data collection, entry, and reporting to support regulatory compliance and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on benefits contracts, regulatory reporting, and system integrations.
  • Provide leadership in employee orientation, training & development initiatives related to benefits and payroll policies.
  • Handle employee relations issues related to payroll discrepancies or benefits inquiries with professionalism and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor law standards by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements such as Medicare regulations and employment contracts.
  • Support employee evaluation processes by providing accurate compensation data and participating in negotiations when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards and company policies. Requirements
  • Proven experience managing payroll systems
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration including health plans, retirement programs, FMLA, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of employment & labor law regulations relevant to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors, employees, and management teams.
  • Data collection skills coupled with analytical abilities to interpret complex HR data sets accurately.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with benefit providers or vendors is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in payroll or human resources (such as PHR or SHRM) is preferred but not required. Join us to lead our HR benefits and payroll functions with enthusiasm! Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
