Summary/objective

The role will serve as an HR Business Partner to selected business units within the isolved organization. This is a highly influential role, and the ability to act as a change agent and trusted advisor to senior management teams are key attributes for success. Management and delivery of HR services with strong emphasis on recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, training and development. Flexibility and the willingness to partner and reach across organizational boundaries are also critically meaningful.

Core Job Duties

  • Deliver HR programs, solutions, and support on both the team-wide and individual level.
  • Establish strong working relationships and credibility by developing a sound knowledge of the business and demonstrating a strategic focus and results-oriented approach.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable HR strategy by identifying highest priority HR needs for assigned business units. Meet those needs through effective partnering with business leaders and collaboration with the HR Business Partner team.
  • Provide expertise and one-on-one employee support in the following areas: performance management, employee relations, management coaching, learning and development, and organizational development.
  • Guide first level managers on day-to-day performance management to ensure employees receive coaching, feedback, and career development.
  • Influence employee-related outcomes which further the goals of the business, utilizing HR expertise, knowledge of the company's policies, practices and procedures, and established credibility and respect.
  • Oversee HR support employee(s) including HR Manager(s), HR Generalist(s), HR Associate(s) and HR Coordinator(s),set goals for the team, and ensure those goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team and ensure everyone is working together towards a common goal.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Engagement/LearningDevelopment, Legal and other functions to assist managers in identifying and meeting talent needs.
  • Provide effective coaching to managers related to team and employee development, and the management of employee performance to achieve targeted business goals.
  • Respond promptly to employee issues and complaints, investigate, and follow up as needed, taking appropriate actions to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company values.
  • Support the roll out and implementation of HR processes and programs such as annual compensation planning, mergers and acquisitions, and special projects and initiatives.
  • Utilize change management expertise to facilitate, plan and manage transitions, from management reporting and entity changes.
  • Assist employees and advocate when appropriate to promote a productive, equitable, and enjoyable work environment.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the delivery and management of HR services and programs to business units.
  • Strive for excellence in both personal and team processes and outcomes.

Job Complexity

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

Interaction

Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

Supervision

Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area, typically through several department managers within the company. Strong understanding of people management strategies and how to develop leaders in their function to be successful. Builds and supports high functioning, motivated teams. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.

Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.

Scope

Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives. Able to lead and support their function while continually achieving impact and improvements across all areas.

Discretion

Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related human resources experience.
  • Prior experience managing and leading teams.
  • Well-developed and demonstrable business acumen with ability to apply knowledge with confidence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates and lead complex projects.
  • Proven effective planning and priority setting.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet competing deadlines in an organized manner.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Travel Required

Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
