Position Overview


MAY Management Services is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across its community association management operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to field and corporate leadership, providing hands-on HR guidance while aligning people practices with business objectives.

The HR Business Partner will play a critical role in employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent strategy, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges within HOA/COA and property management environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for assigned business units and leadership teams.
  • Partner with leadership to align workforce planning, performance management, and talent strategies with operational goals.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance issues, and corrective action.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
  • Support leaders with onboarding, engagement, retention, and succession planning efforts.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and multi-state regulations.
  • Partner with leadership to mitigate risk and ensure documentation and processes are compliant and consistent.
  • Assist with audits, unemployment claims, and regulatory reporting as needed.

Talent & Organizational Support

  • Support recruiting and hiring initiatives in collaboration with the Talent team.
  • Assist with compensation planning, job evaluations, and market benchmarking.
  • Support organizational changes, restructures, and business transitions.

HR Operations & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS teams to ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support training initiatives, leadership development, and company-wide HR programs.
Requirements:


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or field-based operations preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Property management, HOA/COA, or real estate industry experience preferred.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with two required onsite days per week at the Ponte Vedra Beach office.
  • Occasional travel to regional offices or communities may be required.
