HR Compliance Coordinator

Position Overview

The HR Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring all employee records and HR documentation meet regulatory and accreditation standards, with a strong emphasis on Joint Commission compliance. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and audit-ready personnel files across multiple locations.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in the behavioral health or healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit employee personnel files to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and internal standards
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete, up-to-date, and audit-ready (licenses, certifications, background checks, onboarding paperwork, etc.)
  • Track and monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and required trainings
  • Partner with HR, operations, and clinical leadership to resolve documentation gaps
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits, including Joint Commission surveys
  • Develop and maintain standardized filing systems and compliance processes across multiple locations
  • Assist with onboarding compliance, ensuring new hires meet all regulatory requirements prior to start
  • Generate compliance reports and provide updates to leadership as needed
  • Support additional HR administrative tasks, including data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, compliance, or administrative support (behavioral health or healthcare preferred)
  • Strong understanding of The Joint Commission standards and healthcare compliance requirements preferred
  • Experience managing employee files and documentation in a multi-site environment is a plus
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and HRIS systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in behavioral health treatment settings (detox, residential, PHP, IOP)
  • Familiarity with licensing requirements for clinical and medical staff (LCSW, LMHC, RN, etc.)
  • Experience supporting accreditation surveys or audits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
