The HR Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the Associate Director of HR and Director of HR. The primary responsibility of the HR Coordinator will be the hiring, onboarding, orientation, initial training, and annual training, as well as maintenance required of a Family Managed Employee. This position is also required to train staff on office equipment and train new administrative staff.

I. SKILLS REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful candidate must be/have:

· Superior skills in organization and attention to detail/level of quality of work.

· In-depth knowledge of human resources operations and best practices.

· Highly collaborative, wants to work in a team environment without a rigid structure, has a strong connection to team success, and ability to build strong relations with HR team and all employees.

· A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively manage competing requests and priorities.

· Proven abilities to problem solve, negotiate with internal and external partners, andapply personal judgment to address problems as they arise and help move the organization forward.

· Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook); advanced proficiency preferred.

· 1 year recruiting experience

II. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A. Essential functions:
  • 1. Recruitment
  • a. Assist with recruitment efforts by screening applicants and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
  • b. Be present, if requested, in interviews for new family hires and offer guidance
  • c. Create and post job ads and maintain subscriptions for advertising avenues.
  • d. Collaborate with Director of HR and Administration on new ways to attract staff and participate in events such as Job Fairs.
  • e. Assure that background checks and references for all new hires are completed and filed accordingly.
  • f. Coordinate offers for new hires and complete Faculty Data Sheets and formal offer letter paperwork.
  • 2. Employee Relations
  • a. Foster positive employee relations.
  • b. Under the leadership of the HR director, is a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions employees may have.
  • 3. Administrative Functions
  • a. Maintain updated organizational chart to reflect current employees and openings.
  • b. Organize and maintain all Direct Support or Employer of Record personnel files per regulation, including all online or external training.
  • c. Create Files, Relias Account, and maintain FME excel tracking lists.
  • c. Ensure that all required documents for pre- and post-employment is in the file and updated upon expiration.
  • d. Assist Family Supervisors with questions regarding Family Managed Staff
  • 5. Support for the Human Resources Department
  • a. Collaborate with the Director of HR and Administration and the HR/Training Assistant to improve HR processes and procedures.
  • b. Provide coverage for the Director of HR and Administration and HR/Training Assistant when needed, including performing orientations family managed employees.
  • 6. Professional Development
  • a. Maintain, expand, and share current knowledge of evolving labor laws and employment regulations.
  • b. Be a change agent. Document, Improve, systematize, identify, and pursue opportunities for us to become more efficient.
  • B. Non-essential functions: Participate as an active member of various internal and external committees as assigned or volunteered.

III. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee will need to operate a computer, printer, calculator, and telephone daily, which will require hand-eye coordinationand dexterity. Communicated daily face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing. Regularly sit, speak, listen, stand, walk, or reachwith hands and arms, lift 10 lbs. Position may require minimal time traveling on agency business.

Must provide or have available own transportation. In the case of a new employee, a criminal record check anddriver record check is required, and employmentis contingent on the results. Proof of current Driver license and auto insurance coverage will be ongoing.

IV. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY:

This is a 40 hour a week, full-time, hourly position supervised by the Director of HR and Administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
