Serenity Hospice is looking for an organized and strategic HR Coordinator to join our team! This role will be responsible for orientating and onboarding new hires, documentation and human resources related concerns in your assigned region. This position will be office based in our Hamilton office.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective orientation and onboarding programs that align with company culture and values.
  • Coordinate pre-boarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork and setting up necessary accounts.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees, providing them with essential information about company policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure tailored onboarding plans are in place for new hires.
  • Monitor and evaluate the onboarding process, seeking feedback to improve the experience continuously.
  • Request, Log and file all credentials for employees in your assigned territory
  • Answer phone calls and respond to employee questions
  • Open Enrollment each year
  • Follow Serenity Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Communicate issues to Management as needed

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years HR experience in a fast paced Medical Environment
  • Must have at least 1 year of onboarding & and orientation experience.
  • Must be Extremely proficient with Follow up to accurately complete tasks as assigned
  • Have exceptional Employee relation skills
  • Be very familiar with Unemployment, FMLA, Medical Insurance, Payroll, Workers Compensation, On Boarding, Orientation
  • Must be able to multitask continually through each day
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in order to obtain credentials needed from field employees
  • Stay up to date at all times with competencies, Appraisals and credentials for your assigned territory.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
